Our newest addition
The proud mother (above) and her newborn calf just hours after birth. Portia crossed a raging stream, climbed over a barbed-wire fence and sloshed through two fields of mud to get you these two photos. Bravo, Portia!

I can appreciate Portia's efforts, but I think the new momma deserves some credit for labor and delivery. Nice to see the farm animal family growing to meet the needs of the growing Espwa Family!

Mama cow did a laudable job and mercifully stayed just far enough away to make me feel safe while photographing her babe.
