Fallen trees were everywhere as we made our way out to the village to check on the kids and the buildings. The kids were wet, a little scared but fine. The buildings were wet, not scared and NOT fine.

It was a relief to know that the kids were safe! That's what is most important...although it must be frustrating when forces beyond your control add more expense to a tightly stretched budget.
